Spring and Summer are the most popular times to fish, but some of the best fishing is had in the fall. More often then not, this is when the biggest fish are caught on North Star Lake. The arrival of fall also brings the annual "goodbye" to those pesky gnats, ticks, and mosquitos we usually associate with a summer fishing experience in Minnesota.In the fall, fish are scattered at all depths and are looking for something to eat. They are feeding like crazy and ready to bite whatever you put in front of them. If you can find where the baitfish are, you are almost certain to catch fish. North Star Lake has trophy muskie, northern and walleye as well as largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie and panfish.
